Baylor to Host Model U.N. Competition Nov. 18

Baylor University's Department of Political Science will host the Model United Nations Team Competition from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, on the fifth floor of the Cashion Building, located adjacent to the Hankamer School of Business.
The competition will be between Central Texas high school teams representing member countries of the United Nations. The students will compete in a mock United Nations discussion.
Dr. Donald Schmeltekopf, provost and vice president for academic affairs, will offer the welcome and opening ceremony presentation. Dr. John Jonsson, director of the African Studies Program and professor of religion, will speak on "The Year of Toleration."
The "Outstanding Delegation Award" will be presented as well as other awards for exemplary performance.
