Baylor University Welcomes Spring Chapel Speakers

Ministers, performers and inspirational speakers will be among the guests for Chapel at Waco Hall on the Baylor University campus this spring.
Baylor's department of spiritual life holds Chapel in Waco Hall at 9:05 a.m., 10:10 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays. Speakers are on Mondays. Wednesdays are devoted to worship.
Dr. Alan Lefever, director of the Texas Baptist Historical Collection, will speak at the three times on Monday, Jan. 24. Lefever is an adjunct professor at George W. Truett Theological Seminary. He earned his bachelor's degree from Baylor and his master's of divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth. His area of expertise is Texas Baptist history.
Baylor's Heavenly Voices Gospel Choir will perform at the three times on Monday, Jan. 31. Heavenly Voices is a growing ministry that travels around Texas singing and doing community service. Their performance will be in honor of Founders Day, which celebrates Baylor's establishment as a university on Feb. 1, 1845.

' David Johnson, president of Silent Images, a non-profit photography organization, on Monday, March 21

' Shane Hipps, teaching pastor at Mars Hill Bible Church in Grandeville, Mich., on Monday, March 28

' Vernon Shazier, author and performance coach, on Monday, April 18
