Baylor Alumnus Will Speak at Annual Philosophy Homecoming Lecture

Baylor University's department of philosophy will host lecturer Victor Boutros from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22, in Morrison Hall, Room 100.

A reception will follow in Morrison Hall, 219 Commons.

Boutros will lecture on "But What Can You Do with a Philosophy Major?"

Boutros serves as federal prosecutor with the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice investigating and trying official misconduct, hate crimes, and international human trafficking cases around the country. He received his bachelor's degree in philosophy from Baylor, master's degrees from Harvard and Oxford universities and his law degree from the University of Chicago.

He also works closely with International Justice Mission; a United States based evangelical Christian nonprofit human rights organization.

The lecture and reception are free and open to the public.
