Baylor to Host Bible Conference Sept. 15-16

WACO, Texas - The Baylor University Department of Religion and the Waco Baptist Association will sponsor the 14th annual Baylor Bible Conference Sept. 15-16 in Miller Chapel, located in the Tidwell Bible Building.
Dr. Paul A. Basden, pastor of Brookwood Baptist Church in Birmingham, Ala., will serve as the guest speaker and worship leader for the conference. Dr. John A. Wood and Dr. J. Randall O'Brien, Baylor Department of Religion faculty members, will be leading the Bible study sessions focusing on the book of Amos.
Dr. Glenn Booth, coordinator for the Ministers Counseling Service of the Baptist General Convention of Texas, will be conducting sessions for the spouses of ministers focusing on "Prayer for the Storms of Life."
Conference participants will also have the opportunity to attend the inaugural ceremony and reception for Baylor President Robert B. Sloan Jr.
There is no charge for the conference and registration will be held in the Bobo Baptist Student Center. Friday lunch and dinner and Saturday breakfast will be provided as well as complimentary tickets to the Baylor-Mississippi State football game.
