Organ Recitals Highlight Summer Institute at Baylor

Joyce Jones will play an organ program titled "By Request" in Roxy Grove Hall at Baylor University on Tuesday, June 8, beginning at 7:30 p.m. The recital will include such favorite selections as Johann Sebastian Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor and "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring," Charles-Marie Widor's "Toccata" from his Fifth Symphony, and "Variations on a Noël" by Marcel Dupré.
The program is part of the annual Summer Organ Institute, which continues on Wednesday, June 9, with a recital at 7:30 p.m. by Aaron García in Paul Powell Chapel at Truett Theological Seminary.
Then, at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 10, there will be a showing of the classic Lon Chaney silent movie Phantom of the Opera in Roxy Grove Hall. Organist Stephen Morris will provide the accompaniment.
