Baylor Welcomes February Chapel Speakers

Baylor University's Spiritual Life department hosts Chapel speakers every Monday and Wednesday at 9:05 a.m., 10:10 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. in Waco Hall on the Baylor campus. This month, students will be treated to faith-based professors, writers and U.S. Marines.

The speakers will be:

? Feb. 1: Dr. Jim Marsh, director of Baylor's Counseling Center. He is highly involved with QPR--question, persuade and refer training--and suicide prevention. Marsh holds a doctorate in counseling psychology from the University of Tennessee.

? Feb. 8: Chaplain Richmond Stoglin, ordained United Methodist Elder. He retired from his ministry after being recalled to active duty with the U.S. Marines in 2007. His mission is to restore prison ministry to the mainstream of the church.

? Feb. 15: Baylor Religious Hour Choir, a Baylor organization since 1948. The choir serves as a ministry to Baylor's campus and churches in Texas. They travel throughout the world for annual mission trips. This year's will take place in Nicaragua.

? Feb. 22: Michael O' Brien, self-taught writer and artist from Ottawa, Canada. He specializes in religious imagery. His essays advocate the rediscovery of authentic spiritual sources in the absolutes of Christian faith.
