Self-described as "an inventive cross between the Smothers Brothers, Andy Griffith and Monty Python," comedy entertainers Ted & Lee will perform for Baylor University Chapel audiences at the 10 and 11 a.m. services on Monday, Feb. 23, at Waco Hall.
Virginia natives Ted Swartz and Lee Eshleman have been entertaining audiences with their comedic theater for the past 16 years. Raised in the Mennonite tradition, Ted & Lee base their humor mainly on Biblical themes and stories. They consider "unearthing both laughter and insight" in familiar Bible stories to be their trademark touch.
Ted & Lee travel across the country, performing more than 100 live shows each year for all kinds of audiences including youth conferences, alumni groups, charitable organizations and Christian festivals.
The duo will perform an excerpt from The Creation Chronicles, a 90-minute whirlwind tour of 14 Old Testament stories and 17 different characters. Cited to be a "comedic tour-de-force," by Christian song artist Doug Lawrence, The Creation Chronicles will demonstrate to audiences the reality of humanity and the truth of God's eternal love for His creation.
