In April 2003, Baylor University faculty members examined "The Baptist and Christian Character of Baylor" during a two-day colloquy, honoring retiring Provost Donald D. Schmeltekopf. The six major essays, five with responses, have now been published into the book, The Baptist and Christian Character of Baylor, which offers differing perspectives on the various dimensions of Baylor's faith mission and its integration into the teaching, scholarship and service endeavors of the university community. A free copy for Baylor alumni, faculty and staff can be ordered at Baptist and Christian Character of Baylor.
