Baylor/Waco Foundation Selects New Officers, Community Projects

Baylor/Waco Foundation, a partnership between Baylor University and the Central Texas community, has announced its officers and board of directors, as well as four projects that enhance quality of life in Central Texas.
Officers for the 2004 include president Debbie Keel, SBC Regional Director; campaign chair Nannette Wheelis, Rountree Olds Cadillac Mitsubishi of Waco; and project chair Mark Boyd, Bank of America president.
Board members for 2004 are Charlie Rigney (Community Bank and Trust), Jeff Williams (Foxworth Galbraith), Cynthia Miller (Miller Insurance Agency), Walter Grisham (Concrete Concepts Unlimited), Nick Klaras (civic leader/community volunteer), Trent Weaver (T-Shirts Plus), John Fletcher (Fletcher Communications), Royce Berger (B & B Specialties Inc.), Sheryl Chatham (Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home), Dr. Scott Livesay (Waco OB/GYN Associates), David G. Hicks (Compass Bank), Kandace Menning (Richland Mall), Cheryl Allen (Baylor Alumni Association), Lyndon Herrstrom (Bunny Run Creations), Ed Page (HEB), Kathy Douthit (Junior League of Waco) and Gaylan Beavers (Tejas Logistics).
For its 2004 projects, Baylor/Waco Foundation will provide funding toward four projects:
• renovation and expansion of the Baylor Bear Plaza
• support for the language and literacy clinical/educational services offered by Baylor's Speech and Hearing Clinic
• installation of a grand drape in Baylor's Hooper-Schaefer Fine Arts Center
• providing tools and supplies for Baylor's Steppin' Out volunteer groups for use in service project with Waco community
