Kilgore Named Alumni Association Executive Vice President
The Baylor University Alumni Association's Board of Directors unanimously accepted on Jan. 24 the recommendation of its search committee to name Jeff Kilgore, BSE '90, MS '92, as executive vice president of the Baylor Alumni Association. He will begin his duties on Feb. 9. Kilgore follows Os Chrisman '57, JD '59, who has served as the association's executive vice president since December 2002.
"Jeff has demonstrated through his professional experience an ability to effectively manage programs and lead an organization similar in size and function to the alumni association," said David Malone, BA '73, who led the search committee. "The search committee was drawn to Jeff because of his strong belief in and commitment to an independent alumni association as well as the breadth and depth of his existing relationships with alumni, regents, faculty, staff and administration of Baylor University, and his unbridled energy and enthusiasm."

Sloan Jr. "Jeff's prior experience with the association and, more recently, his work with the university, uniquely equip him to serve in this strategic leadership position. Kilgore currently serves Baylor as university host, a position he has held for the last six years. He has been responsible for developing and supervising the department of university host planning processes, managing the overall operations of university event and guest facilities, directing the university visitors and information services programs, conference services, summer programs and other programs involving the interaction of alumni, students, civic organizations and visitors to Baylor.
"I have been truly blessed over the past six years in having had the opportunity to serve as university host and look forward to the privilege of serving the association, its directors and a body of alumni who all care about Baylor University as much as I do," Kilgore said. "The exciting and challenging aspect of working with alumni is that we all define Baylor a little bit differently based on our experiences. But the common thread is how Baylor shaped our minds, nurtured our hearts and changed our lives."
Prior to his current position, Kilgore worked for three years as assistant director for development, programs and marketing for the Baylor Alumni Association under the leadership of Dr. Ray Burchette. Kilgore supervised the association's awards program, Heritage Club, affinity relationships and other networking and service programs.
Kilgore will serve as the chief executive officer of the Baylor Alumni Association, a non-profit organization founded in 1859 to support the interests of Baylor and its alumni. Serving more than 100,000 living Baylor graduates around the world, the group publishes the national award-winning Baylor Line magazine, hosts such events as Homecoming reunions and Heritage Club, and recognizes alumni achievement through the Distinguished Alumni Award and other honors.
Kilgore and his wife, Stephanie, have two sons, Luke and John Patrick.
