'Heavenly Voices' To Sing At Chapel Feb. 9

February 6, 2004

"Heavenly Voices," Baylor University's gospel choir, will perform on Monday, Feb. 9, at the 10 and 11 a.m. Chapel services in Waco Hall.
As Heavenly Voices' website boldly proclaims, "This is more than just another choir; this is a ministry!"
The 26-member choir is a powerful musical presence on Baylor's campus and is often invited to lead worship in churches across Texas. Each year, the choir hosts "Gospel Fest," a festival that brings gospel choirs from around the state to participate in workshops and praise and worship.
The choir was created in 1988, after its founder, Tonja Frazier-Carpenter, was turned down for membership in another campus choir. The choir requires no auditions--only a passion for signing to the glory of God. They rehearse weekly in Miller Chapel on Baylor's campus and perform regularly on campus and around Texas.
