Soprano To Perform In Faculty Recital Jan. 13

Dr. Deborah Williamson, soprano and assistant professor of voice in the Baylor University School of Music, will present a faculty recital at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13, in Roxy Grove Hall. Pianist Andrew Hudson, an adjunct member of the Baylor music faculty, also will perform during the program.
Williamson's recital will feature the aria "Oh! Quante volte" from Vincenzo Bellini's 1830 opera I Capuleti e i Montecchi, an operatic setting of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. She also will perform several selections by the great German master Robert Schumann, French composer Gabriel Fauré, John Duke, Richard Hundley and American composer Samuel Barber.
Williamson has taught at Baylor since fall 2000. She holds a bachelor's degree from Baylor, a master's degree from the University of Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music and a doctorate from the University of North Texas.
