National Journalist To Address Students In Chapel

University Ministries and the Baylor journalism department have joined together to bring Newsweek Contributing Editor Kenneth L. Woodward to Chapel to discuss the integration of faith and the media at 10 and 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10, in Waco Hall.
Woodward, who previously held a position as Religion editor at Newsweek for almost four decades, writes articles addressing issues such as Christian forgiveness and repentance, the implications of science on Christian theology and the intricacies of other world religions. His portfolio of work contains more than 750 published articles, including 100 cover stories and seven books.
A 1957 graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Woodward has lectured at more than 50 universities and contributed to The New York Times, The Washington Post, Commonwealth, The Nation and First Things. He also has frequently appeared as a religious commentator on various television programs.
After speaking in Chapel, Woodward will join journalism students and faculty for a luncheon in the Bill Daniel Student Union Building.
