Baylor Bible Conference To Focus On Jeremiah

Baylor University's 22 nd annual Bible Conference, "Tears from Heaven: Judgment and Hope in Jeremiah," will take place Friday and Saturday, Oct. 24-25, in Miller Chapel. The event, which is open to pastors, church leaders and spouses, is co-sponsored by the Waco Baptist Association.
Dr. Clyde G. Glazener, pastor of Fort Worth's Gambrell Street Baptist Church since 1992, will serve as guest preacher. A native of Oklahoma, Glazener is a graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has served as pastor of Southside Baptist Church in Tempe, Ariz.; Calvary Baptist Church in Little Rock, Ark.; First Baptist Church of Bedford, Texas; and First Baptist Church of Clayton, Okla.
Glazener has served the Baptist General Convention of Texas in a number of roles, including President, member of the Human Welfare Coordinating Board, and member and chair of the Executive Board. He has also served as Chair of the Board of Trustees of Grand Canyon University (Arizona). He also has taught adjunctively at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Boyce Bible School of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Seminary Extension, and Grand Canyon University. He and his wife, Kaye, have five children.
He will preach at 9:15 a.m. Friday and 10:45 a.m. Saturday.
Dr. Thomas Brisco, former professor of religion at Baylor and now dean of the Logsdon School of Theology at Hardin-Simmons University, will serve as conference leader. Dr. Randall Bradley, professor of church music at Baylor, will serve as music leader.
The conference will adjourn at 11:45 a.m. Saturday, although participants will attend the Baylor vs. University of Texas football game at 6 p.m.
