Tickets are available now for Baylor University's 2003 series of Christmas concerts, featuring choirs and performance groups in the School of Music.
The Combined Choirs concerts will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, and Saturday, Dec. 6, in Jones Concert Hall in the Glennis McCrary Music Building. The concert will feature the Baylor A Cappella Choir, under the direction of Dr. Donald Bailey; the Baylor Concert Choir, under the direction of John W. McLean Jr.; the Baylor Women's Chorus, also conducted by McLean; and the Baylor Men's Choir, under the direction of Dr. Randall Bradley.
In addition to the massed choirs, the Baylor Brass Quintet -- comprised of members of the Baylor music faculty -- also will perform. Bailey, director of choral activities at Baylor, will serve as conductor for both concerts.
The Baylor Chamber Singers will present a series of Christmas concerts in Armstrong Browning Library's Foyer of Meditation at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7; at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 8; and at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9, with Bailey leading the 16-member choral group.
Tickets for all five Christmas concerts are on sale in the lobby of Jones Concert Hall for $5 per ticket, payable by cash or check to Baylor University.
