Economic Forecast Conference Set For Oct. 9 In Waco

Economic strategies for the coming year will be the focus of the 2003 Economic Forecast Conference, sponsored by Baylor University's Hankamer School of Business and the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce. The annual conference will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, in the Galloway Suite at Baylor's Floyd Casey Stadium.
The program will feature several speakers, including Dr. Thomas M. Kelly, professor of economics and director of Baylor's Center for Business and Economic Research, who will provide the Central Texas forecast, and Dr. Ray Perryman, president of The Perryman Group, who will focus on the national and Texas forecast.
Corey Martin, vice president of Barrow, Hanley, Mewhinney & Strauss Inc., will present "The State of Equity Markets." In addition, Judge Jeff Moseley, executive director of the Texas Development Council, will discuss "Economic Development Prospects for Texas." Johnny Mankin, chair of the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce board of directors, also will be among the program participants.
