Baylor Welcomes January Chapel Speakers

Baylor University's spiritual life department hosts chapel speakers every Monday and Wednesday at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. in Waco Hall on the Baylor campus. This January, students will be inspired by faith-based entrepreneurs, pastors and authors.
Jan. 21-Sean Carasso has traveled around the world working alongside Christian-based children's organizations, including Young Life, Invisible Children and TOMS Shoes. His passion has co-founded two youth camps and he has worked with John Paul DeJoria, known for John Paul Mitchell Systems. Carasso's book, Falling Whistles, documents his cause to inform and aid the rebel army boys fighting in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Jan. 26-Boniface Mwalimu has dedicated his life to helping children off the street in downtown Nairobi and providing them with a fresh start. A Kenya native, Mwalimu answered his call to become a minister by leaving his job, his car and his home to reach out to homeless children addicted to sniffing glue.
Jan. 28- Greg Wright, an ordained minister, editor and Tolkien expert, is the author of "Peter Jackson in Perspective: The Power Behind Cinema's The Lord of the Rings" and "Tolkien in Perspective: Sifting the Gold from the Glitter." Wright holds degrees in theology, English literature and computer science. He was a contributing editor at Hollywood Jesus for six years, and is currently the managing editor for, Past the Popcorn: Films, and the Artists Who Make Them.
