Statement From Waco Police Department

The Waco Police Department released the following statement June 27:

The Waco Police Department continues to investigate the previous missing persons report regarding Baylor Basketball player, Patrick Dennehy. Waco Police have received information from several sources that would lead investigators to believe that foul play was involved in the disappearance of Mr. Dennehy. One of the potential leads that investigators have been following is that Dennehy was the victim of a homicide in the Waco area.
After authorities in Virginia Beach, VA located Dennehy's 1996 Chevy Tahoe in their jurisdiction they contacted the Waco Police and Waco investigators went to Virginia to follow up. From that lead and others, potential suspects in the disappearance of Dennehy potentially include fellow Baylor Basketball players. Information about possible crime scenes in the Waco are currently being investigated.
