Baylor University will hold a news conference at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, on the first floor of the Dutton Avenue Office and Parking Facility to announce a significant national partnership between Baylor and one of the world's premier casual dining companies. The agreement will mark the nation's first-ever collaboration between the company and a university.
Participating in the news conference will be Baylor President Robert B. Sloan Jr.; David Brooks, vice president for finance and administration; Rick Creel, assistant vice president for operations and facilities; Mark Nelson, regional vice president of ARAMARK campus services; Brett Perlowski, director of Baylor Dining Services; and Bob Murphy, vice president of new market development for Brinker International.
The new building, located at the corner of Dutton Avenue and University Parks Drive, also will include parking for 1,200 cars and 30,000-square-feet of retail and office space for Baylor academic, information technology and other administrative departments.
Following the news conference, media are invited to sample the restaurant's fare and also take tours of the Dutton Avenue facility, which is expected to open in August. Parking will be available in the lot across from Truett Seminary on Dutton Avenue.
