Baylor University To Host Regional Golden Key Leadership Conference

The Golden Key International Honor Society will host its annual regional leadership conference April 4-6 on the Baylor University campus.
Registration will begin at 4 p.m. Friday, April 4. The opening session will begin with the keynote address brought by Dr. Ray Wilson, professor of biology at Baylor, at 9 p.m. Friday at the Hilton Hotel in downtown Waco. All other sessions will be held in the Bill Daniel Student Center.
Dr. Alexander Perwich, Golden Key International's executive director, will speak at a breakfast on Saturday morning in Barfield Drawing Room in the Bill Daniel Student Center. Baylor President Robert B. Sloan Jr. will speak during a noon luncheon also in Barfield Drawing Room. Workshops for students and chapter advisers will be available throughout the day.
The conference provides information about the Golden Key Society and leadership positions within the organization, enhances personal and professional skills and provides networking opportunities for members. Twenty universities from Texas and Oklahoma will participate, involving approximately 100 students, faculty, chapter advisors and community volunteers.
The Golden Key International Honor Society is a non-profit organization that provides academic recognition, leadership opportunities, community services, career networking and scholarships. There are more than 335 chapters in Australia, Canada, Malaysia, New Zealand, South Africa, the United Kingdom and the United States. Society membership is by invitation and available to the top 15 percent of juniors and seniors within a field of study.
