Baylor Mourns Death of Student

The Baylor University family is mourning the loss of Caitlin Creed, a freshman social work major from Homewood, Ala., who died in a car accident Monday, April 30, near Palestine. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 3, at Autry Funeral Home, 1025 SE Loop 456, in Jacksonville, Texas. Funeral services for Caitlin will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, May 4, at Central Baptist Church, 1909 E. Rusk St., in Jacksonville.

Caitlin was the daughter of Dr. Brad Creed, former dean of Truett Seminary and now provost at Samford University, and his wife, Cathy. Caitlin was on her way to her grandparents' home in east Texas, when the accident occurred.
