Blue Route Night Bus Service Switches to The Ride

March 28, 2007

Baylor University's Department of Student Activities will begin offering The Ride on April 1, 2007, to better accommodate students' on-campus travel needs at night. With The Ride's night hours, the Blue Route Night bus service will be discontinued. The Ride currently takes students to a wide range of on-campus locations.

The Blue Route Night was intended to provide students with a quicker and more convenient way to travel at night to and from other parking complexes, such as the East Campus and Speight Avenue facilities. Given the ridership of the Blue Route Night since late November, it was decided to utilize The Ride as nighttime provider for student transportation.

To use The Ride, students should have their location and destination ready and call the main student union office at 710-3211. (The Ride service times are listed below.) Unlike the Blue Night Route, The Ride does not have a specific route it follows. Rather, it picks up students and takes them from point A to point B based on calls students make to 710-3211.

Times for The Ride:

Sunday - Thursday - 5:00 pm - 1:00 am
Friday - Saturday - The Ride does not run on these days.
