Power Restored On Campus

A lightning strike near Waco Hall caused a campus-wide power outage just after 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 14.
Power was restored at 11:50 a.m. Online services were restored to the campus by 1 p.m. For information about the status of online networks, call the DOWN line at campus extension 3696.
The lightning strike hit one of the main transformers by Waco Hall and brought down power lines near the building. The downed lines started a small fire that was quickly extinguished by Baylor public safety and fire crews. The area outside Waco Hall was cordoned off, and there were no injuries reported.
