Dr. Howard K. Batson, Baylor University regent and pastor of First Baptist Church in Amarillo, will speak on his book "Jesus is Lord: Exploring the Meaning of Jesus's Lordship" during a luncheon at noon Wednesday, March 7, in the Piper Great Hall of George W. Truett Theological Seminary.

The luncheon is part of the Doctrinal Conference hosted by Baylor's ministry guidance program in conjunction with the Waco Regional Baptist Network's monthly pastors' conference.

Batson's book is one of the 2007 Baptist General Convention of Texas (BGCT) Baptist doctrine and heritage study books. The purpose of the doctrine study, as well as the doctrinal conference, is to assist ministers as they teach and preach on the topic of "Jesus's Lordship." Copies of Batson's book will be available for free for those in attendance.

There is no charge to attend the conference, but reservations are requested. The reservation deadline for the luncheon is Friday, March 2, and for the conference Tuesday, March 6. For reservations, call 710-3739 or email Louine_Adams@baylor.edu.
