The People's Law School will return for a second year from 8:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Saturday, March 3. Hosted by Baylor Law School, the one-day, free event is designed to make the law "user friendly" and to educate consumers about their legal rights.

"I'd encourage everyone to come out for the People's Law School," said Baylor Law Professor Patricia Wilson. "We wanted to take some of the mystery out of the law, and the courses we've put together will indeed be interesting and informative. Last year's program was very well-received, and our goal this year was to make this free event for the community even better."

The People's Law School will offer 14 courses on a variety of legal topics. One class on immigration law will be taught in both English and Spanish. Each People's Law course will be taught by a Baylor law professor or a local attorney. Participants can register for three courses, which will last approximately 60 minutes each.

The People's Law School will be held at the Sheila and Walter Umphrey Law Center on the north side of University Parks Drive on the Baylor campus. For more information, contact Wilson at (254) 710-6591 or visit law.baylor.edu and select the People's Law School link.
