Harlem Globetrotters to Perform Feb. 6 at Baylor's Ferrell Center

Celebrating the 81st consecutive season of barnstorming across North America, the World Famous Harlem Globetrotters are bringing their 2007 Tour to Waco at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6, at Baylor University's Ferrell Center.

Fans will enjoy nearly two hours of unforgettable basketball as they witness the Globetrotters' amazing ball-handling skills. The show will feature high-tech special effects, a musical score, expert showmen and audience participation.

Founded in 1926 by Abe Saperstein, the Harlem Globetrotters played their first-ever road game on Jan. 7, 1927, in Hinckley, Ill. From the 20's to his death in 1966, Saperstein was the greatest promoter in all of sports, making the Globetrotters into a championship team and Global Icons. On Feb. 26, 2006, the Globetrotters played their historic 22,000th career game, a feat unmatched by any other professional sports team in the world.

Tickets for the Ferrell Center performance are $56, $31, $26 and $16. Tickets for Baylor students and Baylor faculty/staff are $18 with their Baylor I.D.

Tickets can be purchased Monday through Friday at the Floyd Casey Stadium ticket office from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and at the Ferrell Center ticket office from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets may also be ordered online at BaylorBears.com.
