Baylor Welcomes Alumni And Friends During BGCT

November 12, 2002

Baylor University welcomed alumni and friends to campus during the annual meeting of the Baptist General Convention of Texas Nov. 11-12 in Waco.
As a host site of the convention's main sessions, Baylor provided a hospitality tent, staffed by Student Foundation, outside on the Ferrell Center lawn. Alumni and friends also were invited to a Sunday night reception with President Robert B. Sloan Jr. and to a dessert reception Monday night following the conclusion of that evening's convention business.
Less than two miles away, the Waco Convention Center hosted the exhibit hall, with more than 100 booths representing Baptist agencies, organizations, ministries, and schools, colleges and universities, including Baylor and George W. Truett Theological Seminary.
