Baylor Brass Faculty To Present Concert Nov. 10

The Baylor University Brass Quintet will perform a concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, in Roxy Grove Hall.
The featured work is the Kinderzirkus ("Children's Circus") of Dutch composer Jan Koetsier and contains such movements as "The Tightrope Walker," "The Juggler," "The Dancing Bear," "The Magician" and "Clowning Around."
Also on the program are "Canzona Bergamasca" by 17th century German composer Samuel Scheidt, a brass arrangement of Claude Debussy's "The Girl with the Flaxen Hair," Morley Calvert's four-movement Suite from the Monteregian Hills, Tomaso Albinoni's "Saint Mark" Sonata and Dance by Wilke Renwick.
The Baylor Brass Quintet is comprised of professor of trumpet Wiff Rudd, assistant professor of horn Jeffrey Powers, assistant professor of trombone Kevin Chiarizzio, lecturer in tuba David Graves and trumpeter Fernando Rodríguez, a graduate student from Bogotá, Colombia.
