Two Baylor Choirs Combine For Concert On Oct. 29

The Baylor University Women's Chorus and the Baylor Men's Glee Club will perform together at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, in Jones Concert Hall. More than 100 singers will take part in a program that includes both sacred and secular pieces.
The 62-voice Women's Chorus, performing under the direction of assistant professor of choral activities John W. McLean Jr., will present music of George Frideric Handel and Ralph Vaughan Williams, as well as pieces by Julie Knowles, René Clausen, Stephen Hatfield, Emily Crocker and James Mulholland. Also Songs of Praise by Robert Rivecki will be featured.
The 41-member Men's Glee Club is led by C. Randall Bradley, professor of church music. Sacred music by René Clausen, Kirke Mechem, Mack Wilberg, J. Edmund Hughes and Joseph M. Martin will be performed. Folk settings by Gail Kubik, Donald Patriquin, Michael Cox and Paul Rardin also will be heard.
