Funeral And Memorial Services Set For Baylor Junior

Funeral and memorial services have been set for John Alexander (Alex) James, the Baylor University junior who died Sept. 18 at a Waco hospital.
James' family will receive visitors from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22, at Clear Lake United Methodist Church, 16334 El Camino Real in Houston. His funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 23, at the church.
A campus memorial service to honor James' life will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, in Miller Chapel on the Baylor campus.
James collapsed Sept. 15 while jogging on the Bear Trail near Collins Hall, according to Baylor department of public safety officials. He was transported to Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center in Waco where he died Wednesday night.
James was a computer science major from Houston. He was a cadet in Baylor's Air Force ROTC and was a member of the Golden Wave Marching Band.
