Baylor Theatre To Present Shakespearean Comedy

Baylor University Theatre will present William Shakespeare's The Comedy of Errors at 7:30 p.m. April 12-13 and April 16-20. Matinee performances will take place at 2:30 p.m. April 14 and 21. All performances will be held in Mabee Theater in the Hooper-Schaefer Fine Arts Center.
Considered by many scholars as the first play Shakespeare wrote, The Comedy of Errors borrows elements from The Menaechmi of the Roman playwright Plautus. Shakespeare created an absurd tale of mistaken identity and near misses involving two set of twins -- Antipholus of Syracuse and Antipholus of Ephesus and servants Dromio of Syracuse and Dromio of Ephesus.
The Baylor presentation, which is directed by senior lecturer Deborah Mogford, will feature in major roles Rhett Hansen Henckel as Antipholus of Ephesus, Justin Martindale as Antipholus of Syracuse, Toby Meuli as Dromio of Ephesus, John Forkner as Dromio of Syracuse, Amber Werley as Adriana and Bonnie Bradford as Luciana. Also appearing will be Sam Henderson Jr. as Solinus, Steven Walters as Egeon, Mariana Terry Simmons as Emilia, Allison Tolman as Luce, Erik Archilla as Balthasar, Shawn Wellman as Angelo and Greg MacPherson as Dr. Pinch.
