The Juilliard String Quartet To Perform At Baylor Feb. 18

The Baylor University School of Music Distinguished Artist Series will feature a concert by the Juilliard String Quartet at 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 18, in Roxy Grove Hall.
The Juilliard String Quartet is comprised of first violinist Joel Smirnoff, second violinist Ronald Copes, violist Samuel Rhodes and cellist Joel Krosnick. For more than 50 years they have been recognized as one of the finest chamber music groups in the world. Their comprehensive repertoire amounts to more than 500 works, and their discography now exceeds 100 releases on the Sony Classical label.
The quartet will play Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's String Quartet in B-flat major (K. 589), Béla Bartók's String Quartet No. 6 and Franz Schubert's String Quartet in G major (D. 887).
