Baylor Law Students To Graduate Feb. 9

Professor Gerald R. Powell will be the keynote speaker during commencement ceremonies for 26 graduates of Baylor University School of Law at 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, in Miller Chapel on the Baylor campus.
Powell, who was selected by the graduating class to deliver the commencement address, is a 1977 graduate of Baylor Law School. He has been a member of the Baylor law faculty since 1986 and serves as the Abner V. McCall Professor of Evidence.
Diplomas will be presented by Law Dean Brad Toben, The Gov. Bill and Vara Faye Daniel Professor of Law, assisted by Leah W. Jackson, professor of law and associate dean.
The honor of hooding the graduates will go to David M. Guinn, The Louise L. Morrison Professor of Constitutional Law and Master Teacher, and Brian J. Serr, professor of law. The invocation will be given by Melissa A. Essary, professor of law.
After the ceremony, a reception for the graduates and their guests will be hosted by the Baylor Law Alumni Association at the Sheila and Walter Umphrey Law Center.
