Pastor Turned Comedian Shares Humor With Baylor Students
Dennis Swanberg, a Baptist minister and humorist, will speak during Chapel at 10 and 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, in Waco Hall on the Baylor University campus.
Swanberg, a 1976 graduate of Baylor and an impressionist comedian, is part motivational speaker, part entertainer. Impersonations of Billy Graham, Barney Fife and others are part of his performance. He is the host of the weekly variety show, "Swan's Place."
Swanberg received his degree in Greek and religion from Baylor and his master of divinity and doctor of ministry degrees from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has pastored several churches in Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas.
