The annual Halloween organ recital will be given by the organ department of the Baylor University School of Music at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, in Roxy Grove Hall.
The program will feature solos and duets, including such traditional favorites as Johann Sebastian Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor, P. D. Q. Bach's Toot Suite and Camille Saint-Saëns's Danse Macabre will complete with dancing skeletons.
"Roxy Grove Hall is the ideal location for this annual evening of fun, because it is easier to decorate, and the Ruffatti organ in there has a 'death rattle' on the lowest C pipe which is quite eerie," said Dr. Joyce Jones, professor of music and Organist-in-Residence.
The Halloween organ recital will end in time to allow the audience to attend the Women's Chorus and Men's Glee Club concert at 8 p.m. in Jones Concert Hall in the Glennis McCrary Music Building.
