The Baylor University Alumni Association has created an information exchange for Baylor alumni, who were affected by the terrorist attacks Sept. 11 on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.
"All of us at Baylor are very concerned about members of the Baylor family living or working in either the New York City or Washington, D.C. areas," said Lisa Asher, assistant editor of Baylor Line. "We are also getting calls from people across the country wanting news about Baylor friends, so the alumni association has set up a way for us to be a clearinghouse for information."
The alumni association has created a form at http://www.bayloralumni.com/services/wtc.php for Baylor alumni, who were in the areas affected, to post information about themselves and their eyewitness accounts. Another form allows alumni to request information about classmates who may have been in those areas on Sept. 11.
"We will be compiling lists of requests and contact people as we receive information," Asher said.
The alumni association can be contacted at (254) 710-1121 or at 1-800-BAYLOR-U, ext. 6. Asher can be reached at (254) 710-6434. Alan Bowden, director of alumni programs, can be contacted at (254) 710-6425.
