A new program at Baylor University, "A Place 2BU," will sponsor "Concert at the Marina" from 8 p.m. to midnight Friday, Sept. 28, at the Baylor Marina. The concert will offer students the opportunity to enjoy free food and to listen to music. A local band, Sign of Jonah, will open for the band Small Town Poets.
"A Place 2BU" is a collaborative effort among campus life, student activities, student involvement, Baptist Student Ministries, the athletic department, Baylor department of public safety and Baylor Shock Troop. The program aims to provide an opportunity for campus involvement for students.
"The purpose of all the Place 2BU programs is to provide Baylor students interesting, enjoyable events on the weekends and throughout the semester," said Dr. Eileen Hulme, acting vice president for student life. "We hope by providing all-University events that we will strengthen the sense of community on campus."
