Baylor University has cancelled classes on Friday, Sept. 23, and all weekend events due to concerns about the impact of Hurricane Rita. For additional information, go the university's special information website.

Organizers of this Saturday's Balloon Glow and Concert have cancelled the event because of concerns about severe weather produced by Hurricane Rita.
The annual Balloon Glow event was to have been held at Floyd Casey Stadium where brightly colored hot-air balloons were to have made an evening flight.
On Tuesday, organizers said the concert, featuring Big Daddy Weave, would be moved to Ferrell Center at Baylor University. However, because of the potential of powerful winds and heavy rain from Hurricane Rita, organizer cancelled the concert as well.
Rita is expected to strike the central Texas Gulf Coast Friday night.
