High school and transfer students and their parents are invited to be part of Baylor University's Spring Premiere April 20-21, an "open house" for prospective students to explore the Baylor campus and experience a glimpse of college life.

Baylor's Spring Premiere is sponsored by the office of admissions services and Alpha Phi Omega, a student service organization.

"Spring Premiere gives students the opportunity all in one day to meet with admissions staff, current students and Baylor professors and get many of their questions answered," said Bethany Connor, assistant director of admission services. "It's also a great way for our prospective students to meet other people who might be members of their freshman class."

To pre-register, students are asked to complete a registration form, which can be downloaded at www.baylor.edu/Admissions/prem/01spring.html, and return it with a $10 student registration fee (which includes the student lunch) plus $7 for each additional meal. The deadline to pre-register is April 11. Late registration will be available on April 21.

Spring Premiere begins Friday, April 20, with an informal mixer from 7:30 to 9 p.m. in the Bill Daniel Student Center. Registered students can pick up information packets from 8:30 to 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 21, in the Ferrell Center, then attend an opening session where they will learn more about Baylor and the day's activities.
Students and parents can choose from several activities, including campus and residence hall tours, lunch in a campus food court, shopping in a Baylor bookstore, a student activities fair, self-guided library tours, lab tours and special interest sessions on admissions, scholarships, financial aid and other topics. During the afternoon, students and their parents can attend academic sessions in two chosen fields of study. Each presentation will be led by Baylor faculty members.

Spring Premiere will conclude at 4:30 p.m. at the Ferrell Center, with performances by award-winning acts from Baylor's popular "All-University Sing" competition.
