Religion Department To Sponsor Lecture Feb. 8

Baylor University's department of religion will hold its annual lectureship at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, in Bennett Auditorium on campus. Dr. Barry Harvey, senior lecturer in religion, will deliver the address, "What We Have Here is a Failure to Imagine."
Harvey, whose research interests include theological ethics, Scripture, and issues in culture and social formation, received his bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Colorado and his doctorate from Duke University. He began teaching at Baylor in 1988 and is the author of two books, "Politics of the Theological: Beyond Piety and Power of the World Come of Age" and "Another City: An Ecclesiological Primer for a Post-Christian World."
