Baylor University's Center for Community Learning and Enrichment will hold its final two Super Saturday classes of the academic year on April 29 on the Baylor campus.
"Learning the News Through Videoconferencing" -- a Super Saturday session for third-through fifth-graders -- will be held from 9 to 11:30 a.m. in room 139 of the Draper Academic Building. Led by Marion Young, a former classroom teacher, news reporter and videoconferencing trainer, students will get the "inside information" on news gathering and reporting through videoconferencing technology. The fee for this session is $20 and registration is required.
"Math in Motion" for sixth- and seventh-graders will be held from 9 a.m. to noon in room 207 of the Draper Academic Building. Math faculty from the Baylor School of Education and department of math will lead students in an exploration of objects in motion, using graphing calculators and motion detectors. The session cost is $20 for sixth- and seventh-graders, with the exception of GEAR UP Waco students who are already registered for "Math in Motion."
