Baylor Alumni Association Hosts Annual Heritage Club Meeting

The Baylor University Alumni Association will host its 24th annual Heritage Club meeting Sunday through Tuesday, April 2-4, for alumni who graduated from Baylor at least 50 years ago.
The Heritage Club meets each spring for a three-day event. Registration will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Hughes-Dillard Alumni Center. The evening will close with a concert featuring the Baylor Chamber Singers and a poetry reading in the Armstrong Browning Library. There is no charge for the concert.
A continental breakfast will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Waco Convention Center. The morning meeting will feature Dr. Greg Garrett, professor of English and director of Art & Soul literary conference, and Steve Smith, head baseball coach. Guests also will view A Most Significant Journey, a high-definition video documentary about Baylor. The evening will culminate with the president's dinner at 7 p.m. at the Waco Convention Center, hosted by Baylor President and Mrs. Robert B. Sloan Jr.
On Tuesday, a continental breakfast will be held from 8 to 9 a.m. in the fellowship hall of Columbus Avenue Baptist Church. Featured guests will be Baylor Chancellor Herbert H. Reynolds, Dr. James W. Vardaman, the Jo Murphy Chair in International Education and master teacher and professor of history, and Ann Miller, master teacher and professor of English. The event will conclude with a noon luncheon at the Waco Convention Center.
