FastTrac Applications Now Being Accepted

The FastTrac Entrepreneurship Training Program is accepting applications for spring courses to begin in January, 2000.
Designed for entrepreneurs by entrepreneurs, FastTrac has two programs. FastTrac NewVenture is for aspiring entrepreneurs with a business idea who wish to test the feasibility of their concept. FastTrac Planning is for practicing entrepreneurs and owners of small businesses. It is designed to develop a viable plan for growth and a blueprint for success.
"Each course is a tested, comprehensive and dynamic, educationally-based program offering participants the opportunity to develop their own professional operational, marketing and business plans," says Mary Abrahams, FastTrac administrator at Baylor University's John F. Baugh Center for Entrepreneurship.
Waco businessmen David Hoffman, owner of Thera-Med, Inc., and Allan Morris, president of Extraco Bank, serve as instructors.
Sessions for FastTrac NewVenture will be held from 6-9:30 p.m. each Tuesday for nine weeks at Baylor's Hankamer School of Business beginning Jan. 18, 2000. The $350 fee covers all materials and textbooks.
FastTrac Planning sessions will also be held from 6-9:30 p.m. each Tuesday for eleven weeks at the Hankamer School of Business beginning January 18, 2000. The $700 fee covers all materials and textbooks.
FastTrac Entrepreneurship Training Program is co-sponsored by the John F. Baugh Center for Entrepreneurship, the City of Waco, the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce, and the Business Resource Center. The Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership Inc. at the Ewing Marion Foundation and the Waco Foundation are special benefactors to the FastTrac program.

Applications can also be picked up at the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce, Waco City Hall or the Center for Entrepreneurship at Baylor University. Registration deadline is Jan. 4, 2000. Seating is limited. Abrahams says partial tuition assistance from the Waco Foundation is available with verified need.
