June 3, 1999

WACO, Texas -- Baylor University will host four BAYLOR YOU camps June 7-11, June
14-18, June 21-25 and June 28-July 2.
BAYLOR YOU camps provide an opportunity for junior high and high school students to meet and interact with other students, and participate in Bible studies, recreation, small groups, mission projects and a number of recreational activities. BAYLOR YOU has a strong emphasis on missions and works closely with Mission Waco. Students are able to work with small children, paint houses and participate in poverty simulation.
BAYLOR YOU students not only have time for Bible study and fun, but they also get to choose a major and a minor for the week. Some majors include drama, music, sign language, video production, missions and cheerleading. Minors include bowling, swimming, tennis, basketball and other forms of recreation. These classes take place in the afternoon and are taught by Baylor student leaders.
The camp Bible studies will feature four different speakers including Byron Weathersbee of Legacy Family Minstries, Greg Matte of Breakaway Ministries, Dan Yeary of North Phoenix Baptist Church and Dudley Callison of Touchstone Ministries. The camp praise and worship leaders are Dave Hunt from Nashville, Tenn., and Chad Cates from Franklin, Tenn.
All four camps are open to youth groups and individuals. The cost is $198 per person, which includes housing and meals in Baylor dormitories, a camp T-shirt, classes and Bible study materials.
