Premier Fasttrac to Honor Spring Grads April 27

The John F. Baugh Center for Entrepreneurship at Baylor University will honor graduates of its spring 1999 Premier FastTrac Entrepreneurial Training Program at a graduation ceremony and alumni reception at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 27, in the Blume Seminar Center at the Hankamer School of Business.
Keynote speaker will be Bernard Rapoport, chairman of the board and chief executive officer of American Income Life Insurance Company. Rapoport, a graduate of the University of Texas, is the former chairman of the board of regents for the University of Texas System. He is a board member of the Economic Policy Institute, the Institute for American Values and the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies.
Other speakers and guests will include Tom Collins, executive director of the Waco Foundation; Kathy Rice, Waco city manager; Jack Stewart, president of the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce, who will serve as master of ceremonies; J. David Allen, director of the John F. Baugh Center for Entrepreneurship; and Dr. Elisabeth J. Teal, assistant professor of entrepreneurship.
Premier FastTrac I is a nine-week course for individuals who are planning to start a new business or whose companies are in the start-up phase. Premier FastTrac II is an 11-week course geared toward entrepreneurs seeking to improve their existing businesses.
FastTrac I graduates to be honored during the program include: Bill Ballard, Cottman Transmission; Genevieve Gilbreath, Sonar Graphics; Erik Jensen, Sonar Graphics; Shari Nemons, The Nemons Place; Rosa Palmer, D's Learning & Daycare Development Center; Marvin Sharp, Boe Boe's Bar-B-Que; and Maurice Stanfer, Graphics Galore.
Graduates and honorees of FastTrac II are Jack Burgess, Burgess Marketing, Inc.; John Coffman, Russ Mcleod and Patrick McEvoy, Waco Construction, Inc.; Michael Janczak, Red Express Pallet Company; Roger Jones, Jones Printing Media; Terry Jones, Jones Printing Media; Pat Ogden, Successful Organizing Solutions, formerly known as "In Order;" Gary Prince, Blume Lawn Sprinkler Systems; Stephen Zimmerman, Central Engineering of Waco, Inc.; Judy Hull, Mike Watts Building Corporation; and David Green, Thumbprint Computer Consulting.
