Baylor Learning Center Invites Kids on Trip to Fort Worth Museum
Central Texas children, ages 8 and older, can explore and discover the secrets of the Fort Worth Museum of Natural Science and History on Saturday, March 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. during the "Super Saturday" program hosted by Baylor University's Center for Learning Abilities and Talent Development. Adults are also welcome to attend.
Dr. Bill Voss, the museum's senior curator, and Kathi Barbur, the director of the Baylor learning center, will host the day-long excursion. The trip includes an Omni Theater show, a visit to the Noble Planetarium and live animal room, and a behind-the-scenes museum tour.
The cost is $40, which includes travel, admission fees and theater tickets. Lunch is not included so children are encouraged to bring a sack lunch or purchase lunch at the museum cafeteria. Also parental permission for the trip is required. If adults choose to take their own transportation, the cost is $30.
On the day of the trip, the group plans to meet at the bear pit on the Baylor campus at 8:15 a.m. They will leave at 8:30 a.m. and return at approximately 4:30 p.m.
