Armstrong Browning Library to Host International Conference

The Armstrong Browning Library at Baylor University will host "The Brownings and Romanticism: An International Conference" March 11-13.
The conference consists of four sessions which will feature scholars and professors from around the world discussing the Brownings and their work. The opening lecture will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 11, with keynote speaker John Woolford, professor of English at Kings College, University of London, in the Hankamer Business Treasure Room in the Armstrong Browning Library. Woolford will speak about "The Romantic Brownings." The Plenary Lecture will be given at 4 p.m. Friday by Herbert H. Tucker, professor of English at the University of Virginia, also in the Treasure Room.
In addition to the speakers, a conference exhibit will be on display Saturday in the Treasure Room.
The conference is free to the public, but there is a $50 registration fee for students and a $100 fee for professors who are presenting papers. For more information about the conference, contact Michael Davis at 710-3566.
