The "Tre Voci" Piano Trio to Perform Nov. 9 at Baylor

Tre Voci, a faculty piano trio in residence at Houston Baptist University, will present a concert at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 9, in Roxy Grove Hall on the Baylor University campus.
This chamber music group (whose Italian name means "Three Voices") has been performing together since its debut in the fall of 1995. The members are violinist Rodica Weber, cellist Min Cao, and pianist John Hendrickson.
A native of Romania, Weber holds a master's degree in violin performance from Rice University's Shepherd School of Music, where she studied with Sergiu Luca. She has performed concert tours in Austria, Switzerland and Romania, and now serves as a member of the Houston Symphony Orchestra.
Cao earned his bachelor's degree from Shanghai Conservatory in his native China before coming to the United States, where he received a master's degree from Rice University under the supervision of Shirley Trepel. A former principal cellist of both the Texas Opera Theater Orchestra and the Beaumont Symphony Orchestra, he has also served as a member of the China National Symphony Orchestra. He has performed at European cello festivals in Germany and England.
Hendrickson, artist-in-residence at Houston Baptist University, is on the touring roster for the Texas Commission on the Arts. He has appeared at London's Wigmore Hall and the Kennedy Center's Terrace Theatre in Washington, D.C., in addition to touring as a recitalist in Austria and Romania. He has won top prizes in the International Leschetizky Competition and the Toronto International Bach Competition. Hendrickson presented a recital at Baylor in March of 1996.
