Homecoming Reunion Dinners to Be Held Nov. 6-7

October 26, 1998

Several functions are planned during Homecoming for Baylor University alumni. A highlight of all the events for alumni is the special Reunion Dinner. Dinners are held for classes celebrating anniversaries in multiples of five and for the most recent graduating class, with special dinners planned for 25th anniversary, 50th anniversary and classes graduating more than 50 years ago.
This year's Baylor Homecoming will feature a special dinner for the class of 1948, celebrating its 50th anniversary, as well as the class of 1973, celebrating 25 years as Baylor alumni. Dinners will also be held for graduates from 1953, 1958, 1963, 1968, 1978, 1983, 1988, 1993 and 1997.
The Class of 1948 Dinner will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, in the Barfield Drawing Room of the Bill Daniel Student Center. All friends and family of the members are invited to attend. Tickets are $11 each and can be purchased through the Alumni Association.
The Golden Diploma Dinner is for all alumni who graduated more than 50 years ago in the classes of 1912 through 1947. It provides an opportunity for all Heritage Club members, regardless of class year, to visit and share a meal. This dinner will be at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, at the Harrington House Faculty Center. Tickets are $11 each and may also be purchased through the Alumni Association.
The Class of 1958 is planning a come-and-go open house at the Dr Pepper Museum from 5:30-7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6. A snack supper can be reserved by calling Ann Stricklin at
(214) 341-4141.
Reunion classes are invited to gather in tents around the new alumni center, rather than the traditional dinner at the Convention Center. Some alumni will meet immediately following the

parade for Dr Pepper and conversation. Other alumni plan to gather Saturday evening for class meetings and a light buffet which will be served from 6:00 to 6:45 p.m. Reservations are required
for the buffet and can be made through the Alumni Association or on the Baylor website no later than Oct. 30. Tickets are $5 per person; children under nine eat free but still need a reservation.
The Class of 1973 will celebrate its 25th anniversary with dinner at 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, in the Barfield Drawing Room of the Bill Daniel Student Center. Tickets are $11 each and may be purchased through the Alumni Association.
The Class of 1958 has scheduled a dinner for 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, on the fifth floor of the Cashion Building. Tickets are $12 each and reservations may be made by calling Ann Stricklin at (214) 341-4141.
