Baylor Names Family Business Awards Winners

WACO, Texas -- Family businesses, both large and small, across Texas are among the winners in the ninth annual Outstanding Family Business Awards competition sponsored by Baylor University's Institute for Family Business.
More than 200 businesses, large and small, across the Lone Star State were nominated for the competition, which honors top firms demonstrating strong business and family values. Judges include family business consultants, advisers and principals of family firms.
This year's recipients are Golfsmith International Inc., Austin; Daydots International Inc., Fort Worth; Grant Sales Inc., Plano; G.R. Birdwell Construction Inc., Houston; Solutioneering Inc. dba Hello World Inc., Plano; Lammes Candies Since 1885, Inc., Austin; Burrus Contractors Supply, Beaumont; Thomas Bros. Grass Ltd., Granbury; and The Century 21 Judge Fite Company, Dallas.
An awards ceremony will be held in Austin on Oct. 22.
